Eddy: You couldn't possibly be more wrong. These strips are good for the health of the horse - they prevent bleeding lungs, which happens when the horse is demanding more oxygen than the nasal passages are wide enough to deliver. The resulting vacuum in the lungs causes the capillaries to burst, filling the lungs with blood.

Are you saying that horse owners should want that to happen to their valuable investments? The Flair strip prevents it, and involves no drugs whatsoever. How in the world you think that keeping the horses' nostrils wide open to let them breathe better is going to introduce drugs to their system is beyond me.

Not only will these strips not be disallowed, but if the racing commissions really cared about keeping horses healthy, they would mandate the use of them.
