Harvey,

On a somewhat different note. I just installed StarOffice51 (which is freeware from SUN) on my Linux box (Red Hat 6.1) and it its compatible with Word 97 etc. It will also run on my wife's Windows 98 machine. I actually sent away for the complete CD instead of downloading it because I wanted to be able to install it on a variety of computers.

It will always be a little behind the latest MS changes, but I can live with that and I don't have to pay those expensive and never ending upgrade costs.

I suggest you check it out because it is a complete office suite that plays very well with the other Linux tools.

The fact that it runs on Windows 98 is very intriguing. I don't think I am the only one that is fed up with the non-stop cost and upgrade spiral from MS which is adding nothing to my productivity, only time and material costs.

Thure
