Two days ago as I sat at my in-home office desk my eldest, Graystonette, who is five, came into the room with one hand held out, clenched in a fist and the other demurely at her side, also clenched in a fist.
"Wanna see my trick Daddy" she asked
"Sure love" I replied.
Unclenching her outstretched hand she revealed that it contained a penny, she re-clenched her fist and then bought both of her clenched fists together, tapping them.
"Do you know where the penny is now Daddy ?", she asked
"Where ?" I replied.
She opened her other fist to reveal a penny and let the original outstretched arm fall.
"Wow" I said, dutifully impressed, "How did you do that ?"
"It's magic" she said as she turned to leave, very pleased.
The youngest pebble thinks he should be allowed to have Halloween candy for breakfast, what do you think, should we give in ? |
