The thin phone is very well-designed with good functionality. Very good value for money. I got the analog/digital version for $100 after rebate. The PCS mode version works out at $70. The web functions are useful but expensive per minute. The phone doubles as a cell phone modem (with a $100 cable).

According to the sales person at the PCS store, it was a hot selling item, although Samsung was beating it out in volume. Samsung's phone is cuter looking and I saw two female customers buy it in the 15 minutes I was at the store.

In general, both novice and old-time wireless phone users are impressed with the "thinness" of the phone.

The pdQ was priced at $800. It is bulkier than most phones but considering that one does not have to carry a Palm Pilot in addition to the phone, it is reasonable. Definitely needs a large jacket pocket to carry it in. I think Qualcomm is just testing the market with PDQ. The feedback will help them design the next version.
