The FLOPPERMINE system IS build to order. Looking at current availability, there is no guarantee Compaq will be able to begin making your system right away. Who knows when Compaq will get the chip to be able to make systems. On their website where you can view the in store ad you will notice that Best Buy is STILL saying FLOPPERMINE has 512K L2 cache.
