Frank,

In my city pets can be implanted with a chip so that if they are picked up as strays, the city scans their ear and looks for the electronic signature that identifies its name and ownership.

I was just talking with a friend who is a new mother. We were talking about how tragic it would be to lose a child to abduction. So we talked about how technology could help...
Put a tracking chip in a small child? If not permanent, then you just have the child swallow a small capsule before you go to the mall. Human rights... does the child have any when it comes to this?

Sininster use? Well, I guess you wife could put one in your food before you go to work in the morning....

Some type of tracking device will come eventually for people. I have one for my car, if its stolen it calls a center called Onstar in Michigan. They call the police and tell them, its driving north on route 66. I sit at home, and wait for my car to be returned.

regards
Jay
