eBay is still too expensive.

eBay is spending way too much money policing the auctions for the smallest of matters.

Example: Even though I am allowed to end one of my auctions at any time I wish to, I am not allowed to put the text "Once these 18 units are bid for, I will end this auction."

(This text encourages people to bid now, bringing in more sales and commissions for eBay, but some little old lady with nothing better to do complained to eBay about it, so eBay calls me because they don't want the little old lady complaining.)

eBay called me on the phone to ask me not to say this anymore. In fact, the person said "You can end your auction whenever you want, but you can't say that you will end it in your auction text."

They also will not allow me to put text in there "If you don't want to wait for the auction to end, place your bid on eBay and then e-mail me to expedite your order."

They called me (again on the phone) on this one and said that it "encourages people to buy off of eBay".

But, do you think they would ever call the 20 percent of my bidders who are deadbeat bidders to try to get them to pay up?

Never mind that eBay is already getting more than $1000 a month in fees and commissions from me.

And never mind that I can almost never get hold of eBay when I need to talk to them.
