With Dell, it's a couple of things. First, I think the stock got way ahead of itself. Second, perception has changed, and less folks care.
Third, the hot money is long gone over to the telecom stocks. Dell threaders keep saying the stock will take off again if they have strong numbers this quarter. Maybe, but they exceeded last quarter, and the rally in Dell fizzled rather rapidly. CPQ can outperform them as a stock simply because of it's depressed levels. Some good news and it can move 50% pretty easily. GTW was in the slammer not long ago because they missed a quarter, and the Dell guys were saying GTW is finished because of Dell's consumer push. What occurred instead is that GTW stock has been the star this year and Dell has languished. (The Dellheads now say 'GTW PE is simply catching up to Dell') But then those same Dellheads were saying SUNW was finished about two years ago..... <gggg>

Regards,
John

PS - Besides, you know it's over once the CEO is on the cover of Fortune or Forbes. First EP made the cover a couple years back, and now Dell <gggg>
