Wow! Talk about skewed math!

QCOM's conservative earnings for 2000 are 3.76 a share x 186 mil shares is 700 mill a year. Grow that at 30% a year x ten years and you've got yourself 29.8 billion dollars in earnings alone. Not to mention that money will be re-invested yearly at a good ROE. And, at the end of ten years, you're still owner of a company that will earn 9 billion dollars net in year 11 and whose market cap will certainly be worth more than 45 billion.

If you invest 45 billion in t-bills at 6% and a 50% tax rate, in ten years, you've earned 15 billion dollars return on your investment.

Which would you rather have?

Good Luck on your investments...I mean t-bills.
