KLP, And The Beat Goes On!! The whole thing about Techride is it's a GoodPeople Magnet as it grows, slowly but surely, as SI is too and this is a center among centers. As it moves along we interlock like gears so often with other groups of great folks on SI ... which is STILL the hands-down best and most famous & controversial Stock Talk Site on the Whole Internet. There's a bit of the Maverick in all of us; and it sure would be a shame if SI changes and winds up dumbing it down to the point of turning it into more of a clone city PC any-old-place instead. There'd be no turning back from that either, that'd be the end of it. So it'd be a mistake for xgnetx to do that... they must be grokking it by now, they're a real smart Company. I think they've made some mistakes already and alienated some incredibly talented members that've drifted or been banished to elsewhere recently. Too bad for them and too bad for us too ... hope they got the wake-up call with that A@P vote thing now, B4 its too late. SI might've been surprised to see how many longs voted Bring Him Back and defended his freedom to be who he wants on that vote tread; even tho in the past some strategy of his may have even lost the longs some money! For us it's doubleplusgood we have our email list & our seecrit fishin' holes & our safety exit Blue'd get goin' quick if we're next, so rest assured we wouldn't be wandering in a cyberspace desert on email like nomads again anyway. Finding just the impersonal numbers and stockfacts to be somewhat of a bore is why we don't find it too difficult to walk, chew gum, and laugh at the same time! Those still are the in majority around SI .,.. and those who aren't that way, well as no one tries to change their behavior that means they're the clueless ones who are trying to change others and tell them how to write. Many of these drones are Just Takers who don't want their time wasted, want to read the picks and keep moving on. Well, i'm not interested one bit in what they get or don't get from me, or if they read my picks or not. Too bad for them. It's the hi-powered talented creative successful people (with plenty money) that'd stick way out staying in their style on clonecity strict ontopic boards (like most big sites really are). They will wind up making their own boards and drawing away from the public as their creative freedoms are interfered with on here or anywhere. That's what's happening now; and Next Logical Move of these - there'll be one or two who will become serious competitors eventually. So the biggest mistake SI could make is creating a monster by rejecting their own best talented writers in the name of generic conformity or for whatever reason. It's adult independent businesspeople here, & as such it's a place where other-imposed sanctions of anything but the most extreme victimizing behavior are not acceptable. The really great thing about Techride is all the right-brain exercise charges and laughs makes it easier to focus on the stockstuff. And the wisdom we get knowing of some intimate emotional details of folks we've never met in "face time". Our souls really do meet over this ether somehow; perhaps it transmits ectoplasm in ways we haven't yet imagined. And the pleasure i get coming on here and opening up some post which makes me go into spasms of laughs... then looking at stocks all charged up from that.... well you've said it too, it's great.
