Chad:
I understand your concern about liability, but "asking questions" at a general meeting is unlikely to invoke this concern.
The issue of proxies is relevant only to voting, not to what you may choose to say, and it appears that there are many who have trust in your judgement. Anything you may ask or say, should be understood to be your personal perogative.
The alternative for those who will not be attending the meeting is to place their proxies in the hands of management, which I am sure, some may be inclined to do. Those who wish to assign their proxies to someone else attending the meeting, have that alternative as well.
AGM's are usually structured in such a fashion, that input from the "floor" is usually limited to issues on the agenda.
Usually, anything that shareholders wish to have addressed at the AGM should be requested, prior to the meeting in writing, to be an item on the agenda.
Issues raised at the AGM will not require voting on what has happened, but more likely, directions to be taken for the future.
I think you are as well positioned as anyone to assume that responsibility.
Give it some more thought, and let us know.
