Trouble as I see it is you need a LOT of amp to drive the Maggies to their best potential. That Krell would be a minimum. Ideally you'd have 250 wpc at 8 ohms - if your amp is a "voltage source", which the better ones are (within sane limits; wouldn't wanna arc weld with them) then it'll be dumping 500 watts into each 4 ohm Maggie when the power is set on Stun.

You could get McCormacks or Adcoms set up as monoblocks ... but then you'll need a $tandalone preamp and two more run$ of interconnect$.

By all means wait for savings to catch up with budget. A stereo is a cruel mistress when it's all on Mastercard. :-(

As for stock picks ... sure, I could tell you some, but then you'd hate me in a year. Or sooner ... your mileage may vary.
