Multex.com Now Provides Brokerage Research on Bloomberg.com
Business Wire - November 08, 1999 07:52
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 8, 1999--Multex.com (NASDAQ: MLTX), the world's largest interactive community of investors, analysts and brokers, announced an agreement today with Bloomberg LLP to become a provider of brokerage research on Bloomberg.com (www.bloomberg.com), the business and financial news organization's Web site.

Under the terms of the agreement, Bloomberg.com users will now be able to access over 300,000 investment research reports on over 10,000 publicly traded companies, from more than 250 top Wall Street brokerage firms, investment banks, and third-party research providers. Through multiple strategically placed "Broker Research" links on the Bloomberg.com site, users will connect to a co-branded version of Multex Investor, located at (link.multexinvestor.com).

"Multex.com has access to a unique, powerful source of original investment research from Wall Street analysts which, until recently, has only been available to the pros," stated David Wachtel, Publisher of Bloomberg Media. "By aligning with Multex Investor, Bloomberg.com is now able to extend this important value-added resource to our users, reinforcing Bloomberg.com's stature as one of the most comprehensive and easy-to-use financial news and information tools on the Web."

"This is another example of how professional and individual investors need and demand online services that provide faster, easier access to corporate financial information," said James M. Tousignant, President of Multex.com. "Multex.com is meeting those needs by bringing leading financial sites such as Bloomberg.com and their customers into our interactive financial community."

Launched in November 1998, Multex Investor has already established relationships with the Internet's top financial hubs, including Yahoo!, AOL, CBSMarketwatch.com, Quicken.com, The Street.com, Hoovers, Wall Street Journal Interactive, Excite, and Web Crawler. Multex Investor has quickly become one of the most important and popular destinations for serious investors.

Another step in the right direction.
