<Unfortunately, many high-powered individuals/bosses/ managers/executives can't seem to understand, much less appreciate, youthful exuberance, especially when combined with a lack of political sophistocation that can come only with time.>
Yes - and, if at the time one registers for this site, the additional step were introduced of having to physically type:
"I, (name), promise to envision my boss' face before I click the 'submit' button."
then maybe some of that youth will think. It sure helped me (the 'big brother' post after I goofed). Skang maybe would have kept his head and still had a job (if his goof was the same as mine). Two functions are served here.
1. Nobody could get off with the "Jeez, I just didn't realize...." At least they've been warned to "Think, dammit". Thus, the 'newbie immaturity' defense is invalid.
2. Any remaining posts of similar nature, therefore, would be from the malicious types. And we can burn the witch without guilt.
Of course, this still leaves one loophole: the Twinkie defense
"I pictured my boss' face, I wasn't being malicious, but the sugar rush overcame me...."
