Regarding your kevlar vests as mentioned in the description of this thread: Kevlar ages and kevlar reinforced clothing actually has labels to that effect. It may be a sensitivity to ultraviolet in sunlight - I don't recall. Due to that though, I only wear my kevlar in the dark. For protection in sunlight, I wear reflective tape across my suit in areas that are important to me - heart, liver, brain, etc. The reflective tape serves to blind those who would try to shut me up.
