The ATSC DTV standard calls for a 19.3Mb/sec data stream, easily in silicon speed ranges. Even the uncompressed studio signals are only in the range of 300Mb/sec. Where VTSS may gain is in the gigabit switching infrastructure, where they essentially have a lock on the market.
