One man's trivial is another man's (or woman's) important, Neocon. For example, Chechnya is becoming perhaps THE most major issue in Russian-US relations right now (superceding even the money-laundering issue). Indira Gandhi is dead. Aslan Maskhadov is very much alive, and the West in general (not just the U.S.) is trying to pressure the Russians into negotiating with him. I would hope that a Presidential candidate would be au courant with current international crises... Joan
