Also, how would they know Chalem's house wasn't teeming with servants, guards, etc. That's one of the reasons I say the killer(s) had been to the house before, and so knew the setup. And also knew how to find it. We really need a Volunteer from New Jersey. Someone willing to go have a look about... See how easy Bluebell Lane is to locate, and imagine what the area might be like at night.
