Xenos Group partners with IBM-R- EDMSuite OnDemand to enable Internet presentment of bills and e-documents

IBM EDMSuite OnDemand to use Xenos' DocumorphTM solution & transform technology to provide its customers with a comprehensive e-commerce presentment solution

DALLAS and TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 19 1999-- Xenos Group (TSE: XNS - news), a leader in software for online statement and bill presentment, today announced a formal partnership with IBM®, makers of IBM EDMSuite OnDemand, a powerful client/server COLD (Computer Output to Laser Disk) and Enterprise Report Management solution.

By incorporating Xenos' DocumorphTM software and transformation technology, IBM's customers will be able to convert all of their high-volume paper-based documents into electronic form for presentment over the Internet.

Xenos Group will work with IBM to provide enhanced customer solutions to clients, helping them rapidly transform their print data to any format and then distribute it via the Internet in any presentment format they choose. That means IBM's customers can realize the benefits of cost savings, closer customer relationships and cross-selling opportunities by reproducing and distributing personalized electronic versions of customer-contact documents, such as bills, policies, statements and other important communications.

''The instant and reliable retrieval of archived e-documents in the format of choice is a vital component in providing electronic document presentment for e-business,'' said Jim Kelly, Vice President Data Management Marketing, IBM Software Solutions. ''We are pleased to have the Xenos Group as an IBM partner. Our mutual customers will benefit from the combined capabilities of Xenos' Documorph and EDMSuite.''

A flexible and robust solution for online customer communications, Xenos' Documorph is the only product today that successfully handles all of the big four presentment standards: HTML, PDF, TIFF and XML. The software enables companies to rapidly and seamlessly implement their e-statements and e-bills.

''Xenos Group's strategic relationship with IBM allows us to deliver our solutions and technical expertise in partnership with IBM's EDMSuite and OnDemand offerings,'' said Martin Heenan, President of Xenos Group. ''Xenos' technology accepts more print stream inputs, supports more operating environments and offers more output formats and distribution media than any other solution available today. As a result, we're providing IBM EDMSuite OnDemand customers with a superior choice for the most comprehensive and simplified approach to e-document delivery.''

IBM EDMSuite is enterprise document management for e-documents spread across and beyond the enterprise. IBM EDMSuite provides networked and integrated document management so businesses can stop handling paper and start using the best information technology for their e-business. Validated by more than 2000 installations, OnDemand provides high-performance document capture, indexing, storage, retrieval and presentation of large volumes of computer-generated output and supports multiple-output data streams. OnDemand addresses business requirements across all industries with a heavy volume of statements, invoices and other monthly-outbound documents. You can find more information at ibm.com.
