Rubber Technology Announces Playground Material Contract

LOS ANGELES, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 8, 1999--Rubber Technology International Inc.
(OTCBB:RTEK - news) announced today that the company has secured another major contract with The
Alpine School District of American Fork, Utah, for 1 million pounds of Rubberized Playground Fill.

Their research and experience has shown that Rubberized Playground Fill is safer and more cost-effective than previously used material such as wood
shavings or sand.

Negotiations with other school districts are currently under way both in Utah and California for the use of Rubberized Playground Fill. It is expected that
as the news spreads about the use of Rubberized Playground Fill (from recycled tires), many more such contracts will be forthcoming.

Rubber Technology International is a leader in the tire recycling industry. The Los Angeles-based company is paid to receive scrap tires that are then
ground into crumb rubber, which is in ever-increasing demand for molded goods, horse arenas, playgrounds and in rubberized asphalt.
