AMD Launches National Television Commercial to Support the AMD Athlon Processor

Thanks for posting it. AMD is taking very calculated and methodical steps. I think this is the right time to start advertising as motherboard issue has gotten a lot better and Athlon at a very reasonable volume. As far as the mother boards are concerned, I don't think the mobo supply is a problem any more. The next step we have to look forward with motherboards is for more choices, lower prices from increased competition, new chipsets with powerful features to utilize the head room left in Athlons. IMHO, by the time we get into Q1'00, AMD will be in a great position with strong Athlon system infrastructure, newer products, advance chipsets. I don't think Intel has any more tricks left to stop AMD's future progress. Ted indicated in one of his recent posts to me - "there was a time when intc ruled, and when it spoke, the rest of the world rocked. I think that time is over" - which is the correct description of current Intel.
