Bad, for one, I am not trying to get the government to pass, or change, any laws to fit my viewpoint. I hate abortion on demand, and wish that the law could be changed on that one point but, that is not merely from religious conviction. I call it murder in any Faith.
Like I said, I do not defend the slaughters of the Old Testament but, that was thousands of years ago, and was done by Hebrews. Such slaughters are against the beliefs of Christians of today. Those that bomb clinics and shoot doctors, are not really Christians. They are just using Christianity to further their own, personal, agenda. Somewhere, down the line, you need to learn to separate the two groups and the two times in history. I might, also, add that most of the major religions in the world are also guilty of atrocities and slaughter. So, why do you pick on the events of the Bible. Go check out the Koran, or the histories of the others, instead of concentrating your anger on only one, perceived, guilty group.
It is by thinking with the brain that God gave me, that has allowed me to make the decision in Faith that I have. Time will tell whose brain was functioning the best. TD |
