I think that Western Digitals main competition, might be Atari. The private compnay that acquired Atari in the beginning of this year, is in the 3" drive market. From what I have read, over Atari's web site, they plan on introduceing one themselve. However, Atari's dirve will be cheaper, bigger and more reliable. I would recommend that you visit thier website and read the info yourself. This is the understand ing that I got after visitng their web site. Also, there have been a couple of posts on this thread, addressing Atari and their upward momentum.

Just thought I'd let you know.
