Ray-- i've been party to a lot of M&A deals. The natural tendancy of the buyer is to say, "Whoa, lets go slow on the cap ex and any new programs until we get our arms around the sucker we just bought." Maybe not renig on a deal but just jam on the brakes real hard. So going into this fab is qualitatively different than walking into a rock of Gibraltar, rumored here and elsehwere, like TI or Intel. Getting into a micron+ fab for a niche part of the action on these chips is better than where we were, but ain't great in and of itself. Tyler made a big deal at the annual meeting about how this process could be integrated into, for instance, a CMOS line with only a few additional operations. Makes my nose wrinkle that some household name hasn't stepped up to the plate if this technology is so great.

Dunno about Leonid meteor showers but Baker's Comet which has streaked across the Troy skies for well nigh these 10 months has indeed inspired some negativity.
