Kemble, you made an excellent point when you said the dram situation is a temporary glitch that has nothing to do with the fundamentals of DELL and their model Yes, it is temporary, but even so, when you take into account the disproportionate affect on Dell (owing to it's very low inventory levels), there will be some impact that may not be felt by its competitors. Once we are past the (presumably) very short-term inventory effect Dell's superior business model will win out over its competition even if DRAM prices remain high, because Dell's assembly, distribution and inventory holding costs are lower than its competitors.
