There is no monopoly. Anyone who understands technology can see that.

What does technology have to do with monopoly?

Here is a vert simple question that was raised on CNN to the CFO of MS.

How come your OS hasn't changed in price from 85 bucks over the coarse of it existence.
The CFO said that we have add many many feature so it is justified.

The CNN reported then said if you charged 45 bucks you could still make a killing.

Now if MS didn't have a monopoly don't you think the price should have come down considering the hardware for a computer is dropping in price and you are getting way better quality.
Now from MHO if you look at the OS for Win98 or NT you are getting more features but the stability is not improving so how can MS justify those high prices unless they have a monopoly.

If the DOJ actually does something you might see Linux take off considering it is the superior operating system when compared against windows and in a no monopoly world the better OS should win.

JMHO
