Uncle Frank, LindyBill, Mike Buckley, and others:

Thank you for the good work on this thread. I have been following this thread from almost day one but haven't posted until today. Many more people may have benefited from these discussions than you guys realize. I must join others in congratulating you for this.

I have three questions for LindyBill:

1. When we say that QCOM's technology and R&D is way ahead of its competitors, how do we know that this is exactly the case? Do we have testimony from wireless experts not associated with QCOM?

2. In the transcripts from the QCOM CC posted by Bob Craig, QCOM indicated that there may be a challenge from the Europeans regarding royalty payment for W-CDMA. How significant is this remaining problem?

3. What exactly is the royalty arrangement with NOK, the largest handset maker? Are they moving into adopting more of CDMA and paying royalties to QCOM?

Sorry if these issues have been discussed earlier. But your reply is much appreciated.

Best regards,

MKB
