Jerry,

Abbott's advertisements are appearing in many magazines. They're sure to catch the attention of ulcer sufferers and others, including journalists and reporters who will begin reporting about the "revolutionary" ulcer cure.

This is the beginning of the H. pylori information explosion. It's sure to have a positive impact on Quidel's H. pylori test sales.

Also, I am sure Quidel has retained competent legal counsel and, therefore, I have no reason to doubt Quidel's statement that Becton Dickinson's lawsuit is without merit.

Quidel's stock price has dropped because of the lawsuit announcement and the recent stock market downturn, not because Quidel's earning are decreasing. In the meantime, Quidel will continue to sell its products and rapidly increase its earnings. When the lawsuit is settled, the market stabilizes, and Quidel reports its earnings success, Quidel's stock will recover with vengeance. Under the circumstances, I consider this an opportune time to invest in Quidel's stock.

Mike
