I've confirmed that the specification of the PC architecture is public domain. Your claim was that you could make a box identical to a Dell box without the trademark and Dell could do nothing about it. This is patently false (pun intended).

And it still doesn't lend any credence to your absurd assertion that an OS that runs on hardware "nobody owns" must be public domain. Oh, try to tell the Linux people that they have no control over their OS. While it is open source it is licensed and is most definitely not considered public domain. As a matter of fact, I'll tell them for you.
