LIFEONE FILES INTERPLEADER NAMING THOMPSON KERNAGHAN, THE
SECURITIES EXCHANGE COMMISSION, AND THE MARYLAND INSURANCE
ADMINISTRATION

North Bethesda, MD, November 9, 1999 - - LifeOne, Inc. (OTCBB:LONE), (the "Company"),
announced today that it has filed an interpleader action in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County,
Maryland, in response to a New York state court order obtained by Thomson Kernaghan & Co.,
Ltd. ("Thomson") against the Company. The court named LifeOne in contempt for not escrowing
four million free trading shares of LifeOne common stock for Thomson.

LifeOne has repeatedly maintained that it has complied with the court?s orders in these proceedings
except to the extent that it cannot do so because doing so would cause it to violate one or more of
the United States securities laws and applicable state insurance laws. LifeOne has escrowed four
million shares of LifeOne restricted common stock, but Thomson seeks to have the restrictions
removed or to have LifeOne escrow unrestricted stock.

LifeOne provided affidavits from experienced securities and insurance attorneys, which cited
Securities and Exchange Commission and state insurance regulations that the order would violate.
Nevertheless, the court would not modify its decision. Therefore, to resolve the impasse, LifeOne
has decided to interplead the shares into the Maryland court and name the agencies which have the
responsibility to uphold these laws as parties to the action. This will provide the regulatory agencies
the opportunity to participate in the process of determining the restrictions on the stock.
