I think if it is not stated otherwise, most are speaking of daily, but I give as much weight to weekly as daily, i.e., if a stock is overbought by indicators used on a daily chart, BUT is not confirmed as being overbought on weekly chart, then I pass it up as a short candidate or wait till all are "singing off the same sheet of music" I use Quotes plus for database, and that currently limits one to 2 years data, so monthly--with only 24 lines--cant be used for TA. Those that use TC2000 can get years of data and I'm sure they look at monthly charts.
Q+ is soon coming out with 6 years of data, but I gather it will take up about 500MB of disc space. I started with 2.1GB one year ago and have 600MB left, so will have to get more storage to use it
