There was an article in Chronicles magazine a few years ago that questioned whether or not Ayn Rand plagiarized from a book called "The Driver" by Garet Garett, written in 1922.

The Driver also has a character named Galt: Henry Galt. The Driver also takes place against the backdrop of American industry. Henry Galt is a Wall Street speculator who takes over the bankrupt Great Midwestern Railroad and turns it into an empire. Along the way he is persecuted and attacked by his fellow businesmen and government. In the end, his enemies conspire to put him on trial for violation of the Sherman Anti-Trust Act. At trial, he defends his profits and his right to earn them in terms reminiscent of an Ayn Rand hero. On page 151 the question is asked, "Who is Henry Galt?"

What does it all mean?
