Steven, thanks for your questions. I can assure you of this. . . we will have a much easier time figuring this stuff out in the near future. Our new area is designed specifically to address yours and numerous other concerns. . . all focus will be on the TRADES, not the stocks. . . and the TYPES of trades are clearly divided. . .so daytraders are not mixing with position traders, thus varying an individual's trading plan or confusing the trade. And to help individuals figure where they figure into the scheme of things. . . I have completed a book of sorts, which will soon be made readily available.
So. . . OMX may drop off a swing trade buy board, yet remain on a position trade buy board. . .but it might not appear on a long-term board, until after it achieves a certain price level. . .[remember OMX has only been above $5 for a short time recently, so it has more to prove to the long-term investors.] . . .
If you are a swing trader you would sell. . . while a position trader would hold. . . and the long-term investor hasn't even bought in yet. . .
And this is just one more reason I tell you guys that our lives will become easier soon. . . . and those that lurk that have not sent their email address to me at Rande@writeme.com. . . .might miss out on the grand opening . . so get me those email addresses. .. there will never be an official announcement made on Silicon Investor. . . as promotion is not permitted.
Now some of your questions have no answer, obviously. . . and I never say to buy or sell any stock, nor would I ever. I only post what I have done, intend to do or am considering doing. . . or post predictions of the future. . . and lately, I haven't been able to post consistently throughout the day. . . basically we are under construction.
To leave you with something. . . I would study the Oct 27 long portfolio 3.0, as well as the B2B / Broadband watch list. I plan on holding these stocks straight through to April. . . only adjusting my positions according to market conditions, individual and sector events. . .or news, TA, short-interest or other factors. And I have a different book of sorts coming out that will go into the various methods of position trading [both those we practice and those we don't], that should be helpful in answering the other part of your question . . .
