Unfortunately the cap is not a big clue without knowing Chalem's schedule for the day. Lehmann's for that matter. Except the cap being on indicates that he was feeling casual, or at least more casual, than his attire would otherwise suggest. He must have known Lehmann well enough to wear it for instance, but I agree that he would likely not have dressed up in a suit just for him either.

So either the suits were a show for someone they wanted to impress, but someone that was selling, not buying. Or was unexpected and occurred after a prior meeting with someone they were trying to sell to.

Remember it was Monday night. Was he wearing the cap because of Monday night football? Or was his eye always on the "deal" every waking moment? (Pittsburg beat Atlanta that night 13 to 9, if he had lived to see it.)
