My thoughts?

We know the importance of value chains being ordained. In my opinion, Ariba has an outstanding story going forward and is exactly the company that Siebel should have chosen to hook up with for some B2B accounts. Is it the one and only alliance? I seriously doubt that. IBM, Microsoft, Ariba, JD Edwards are the most recent 'alliance' announcements for Siebel. By that definition - recent - equals 'this year'.

I think that these alliances are a little deeper than press releases as the jockeying for position to capture the B2B explosion is clearly underway.

I'll have to finish this later. Sorry, I have to hand the laptop over to the wife who needs to type a report. :-(
