Whatever they do next week, I don't think this economy is going to slow enough this holiday season so as to preclude further Fed. intervention next year. Moreover, regardless of what the Fed. does or does not do in late December, the numbers rule and will dictate the action in the market. The market will tighten ahead of the Fed. if the numbers dictate.
