Finally ... SI has been unavailable with Server errors for 2 hrs.

Capellas speech: Basically it was an Internet concept talk with minimal CPQ selling, but here's the gist (BTW, everyone should listen to it):

1) There will be Interent convergence with (a) CRM (?) being the killer app, and (b) The server will be key being accessed by (b1) thin clients and (b2) appliances

2) CPQ Strategy: (a) Create non-stop business environment, and (b) Since the Internet is a market where noone can do it all ... PARTNERSHIP are critically important and (c) E-tronics (combo of consume electronic devices & PCs) will be the accessing devices and (d) Since the implementation of Internet/e-commerce is (and will be) extremely comples, SERVICES will play a MAJOR role. Summary: CPQ will (a) partner, (b) assist with rapid deployment of Internet strategies, (c) become #1 (from #2) in Network Storage and (d) develop the next generation of appliances.

3) 5 years out: a) E-business (B to B & B to C) will be a must for any corporation that wants to survive, and b) Wireless (upon standards convergence) will be 50%, and c) 35% of everyone will be on-line, and d) Bandwidth will be a non-issue by being easily available, and e) 30-50% of purchasing will be done over the Internet, and f) Computing and Telecom businesses will blend.

That's about all I have ... MC did great and the audience liked him.
