what is the connection between NASA needs and CREE?

pomp,
briefly...depending on which product, cree and SiC offer weight reduction, reduced power consumption, and communications enhancements.
SiC operates very well in a much broader temperature range than standard silicon.
some SiC products offer very significant power savings..this is very important from a battery operated cell phone to a battery operated space craft.
if production gets ramped high enough SiC can replace current semiconductors...think about that! is cree going to replace intel?
unclewest
just practising my exuberance.
do you know about led light bulbs? does cree replace GE too?
