andrew, nice to hear from you......as i recall some of the ko purchases were with a p/e of above 25.....he did purchase over 1 yr or so.....maybe looking at forward or last yr earnings make the difference...... i have come to a new conclusion about buffett and i havent seen an article in the press yet.....i think he is extremely interested in global growth.....more than ever before.....i saw and article on amex....some wondered about this purchase too....it said the intl growth of the card should be aroudn 25 to 30%.....my point is he sees things others dont.....the only purchase i would question is if he went near another airline..... mcd is interesting....i calculated some rough numbers and i think they are worth 3 to 4 times the current price looking 10+ yrs out.....this is an estimate and i am no quant guru......there is a possibility for more.....it is a long term position........ lars
