C.D., actually, a minor correction may be in order. NT accounts for less than double digit of the whole of traditional router market. I am not sure how much the router contributes to NT's bottomline right now. If such an attempt can get NT into a more prominent position, it may be worth it. Still, it is no small change. Having said that, the counterbalance is the softwares embedded in every W2K OS [granted that there has been a ganging-up-on-the-richest-man fever right now@] and INTC's ambition in the networking market. I can see NT has gonna to *finance* its push into the software [CLFY and Open IP] with her windfall in Optical and Wireless positions.
