However the difference in Leff is greater than 25%.So I would expect the speed improvement to be much greater than 10%. So I am optimistic that Coppermine will cross 1GHz on 0.18um technology. However for marketing reasons Coppermine speed ramp will probably be constrained to only match the pace of Athlon.
