Hi Hogger ~ I was figuring that you might have been to the web-site that contained my writings on white collar investigative files, and, so, was presupposing that you'd know my research was based upon artifactual evidence, ie. documents and not people. A la the late I.F. Stone, I found documents to be the most reliable source. People can have faulty recollections, may wish to deceive, they sometimes change their stories, disappear etc. etc. but if one bases their analyses upon documents permanently on the public record, you're on solid ground. The Curshen/CYGS content you'll find on the site @ imagenisp.com is drawn from the disclosure of CYGS and Curshen. Using their own words, then, any errors or false statements are those which they published. In my own writings, summarizing the scenario in the context of its interest and relevance to the YBM Magnex scandal, there are no errors, major or minor. That's what I was indicating when saying that I dealt in specifics and you were painting things with a broad brush. In any event, I appreciate your willingness to apologize. Still, it is not necessary. Even when I was actively investigating stock scams, I did not take things personally. And now I am only occasionally surfing SI and other sites ~ for fun and nostalgia ~ I see even less reason for anyone to get worked up over such things. (BTW, the reason I mentioned having been a white collar investigator was not to elevate such status in any way, rather it was to distinguish the contents of the white collar site from any work that I have done in other fields in the year since retiring from the world of financial sleuthing. My reputation in the market community rests upon what I did during the years 1980 - 1998. That's enough.)
be nice to others on-line; this community can help investors and speculators by sharing information; any behaviour that engenders goodwill between members of the public is a boon to safe investing
take care, y'all |
