Don't know how long it will last but as of this time Web Street tech support said that they are having problems with accounts that access them using DSL or cable. I'm using a DSL line through Flashcom. Prior to the market opening I get to my trading password in two seconds or less. Once the market opens it took up to 35 seconds to get to the trading password. That's OK if you're going to hold for the next six months. For a quick day trade it won't do it. In fairness to Web Street, Flashcom has been having some ISP routing problems with Exodus who is one of their back bone providers. Seems they have been dropping IP addresses. It's interesting that Flashcom and Web Street both suggested that I go back to a 56K connection. I am hoping that Flashcom resolves their problems. I looked at other brokers but they all seem to have their problems.
