Well, sure there is a lot of hype - but for cmrc it was the GM deal that did it - and the fact that they broke into the supply chain with that deal. There is a bit of the winner-take-all element to b2b after all so that win alone certainly means cmrc should be valued equally to Ariba (which was already 7 billion).

Offhand I really can't think of a larger win for supply chain transactions in the country than GM... that may be the biggest deal there is. The real coup here is that GM is so big they have that huge EDS customized manufacturing solution, not a packaged ERP like most reasonable sized firms - therefore they were probably able to create an interface for commerce one to their supply chain whereas Samsung or goodyear tire running SAP cannot. No matter - they got the win, and thats all that counts.

PS I clicked on your profile and I know you are a msft supporter... what are your plans now, will you hold your stock? Think theres any hope for a settlement?
