Linux, Kleiner Perkins & MRVC, Part 2

About 3 months ago just happened to speak with a programmer leaving the San Fernando Valley for the Bay area to work for Linuxcare, a Kleiner Perkins start-up. He said Linuxcare's original business plan was to build a Linux router. This was abandoned because someone else did it first. They are now a Linux support provider.

I started trying to connect the dots when KP invested in NAC. I assume if the above is true that KP is very aware of the Nbase-Xyplex Linux router and probably aware of everything else MRVC is doing. Is KP involved in the additional funding of CW and HC? Is KP assisting in finding top execs? KP is one of the very top Silicon Valley venture capital firms. Any additional association with MRVC would be a big plus.

Linuxcare just signed a support deal with IBM. Possibly they could provide support for the Linux router.

Does anyone know if the Nbase-Xyplex router uses the Open Source software of the Linux Router Project (LRP)?

By the way, if Linuxcare does an IPO soon it will probably be very hot and get a multi-billion dollar valuation.
