CBS Marketwatch Story on UPS IPO cbs.marketwatch.com ps: regarding a long term investment...years ago I produced several of their annual reports for an agency I worked for. They kept it "top secret", not even enough copies printed for employees. The reason? They didn't want employee rebellion, unions and strikes. The profits were so incredible, they didn't want employees to know. And being a private company they were not obligated to disclose that fact. This was the early 80s - not sure if they are doing as well now, but I bet they are.
