Given the recent turn of events, I was wondering, what is the likelihood of MSFT's SQL Server database being no longer tied to Windows NT?

Updated list of msft breakup candidates and beneficiaries:
1. consumer os software (95/98(or 98 derivatives)/ie(ie circa 1999) etc) = rhat, apple

2. business os software (NT(or NT derivatives)/ie (ie circa 1999) etc) = rhat, apple

3. business software (ms office, visio etc) = corel, ibm

4. mac software (mac office etc) = apple, motorola

5. platform independent software (java, streaming audio/video) = sun, aol

6. development tools (VB/VC/java etc) = sun

7. hardware = intel, motorola

8. internet browser (ie circa 2000 onwards)

9. internet (hotmail, msn) = yahoo, aol

10. a holding company for msft investments in other internet companies

11. database (sql server) = oracle, informix, sybase
