Terry, reread your post again.I agree its the sense of electricity that impresses the most The Rainforest has an" aura " to it,other restaurants just have ambience .To risk sounding trite it also has a sense of goodness and wholesomeness mixed in with high tech madness.Overall its so refreshing in our age of sex, drugs and violence etc.

I went there with my fiance and another couple who were in there fifties. We were by the guerillas and they thought the guerillas were too loud. But we had a marvelous time, one in all.We all got into one of those uncontrollable laughing things over silly jokes.that comes along once every few years. It was a great time. Good food +Good people +Good "aura" = Good time .Substitute Great for all the Goods and you have the Rainforest

I liked the shotting stars too.Just a little extra treat for those who noticed.

The servers did seem a little overwhelmed but got everything there on time.I'm sure they will improve. In jazz palance they looked like "they were running so they wouldn't fall on their face".

I don't understand your druthers about the location .It a major league shopping center full of discount outlets that people come long distances to shop at.So the day is a special event for many people to begin with. One they don't get to do all that often. The oppurtunity to also go to the most unique restaurant in America is one not to be missed.Likewise people come a long way to go to Great America which is nearby and that should be an added bonus in the summer for the Rainforest ,the perfect place to end a perfect day.

I agree with you that this stock barring overexpansion will turn us a tidy sum into the next millenium. And if it drops I'm buying some more.Sure do hope Jeff gets a chance to buy some before it gets too expensive.

So where would you have put the Rainforest if not in Gurnee Mills?

Are you from around Chicago,Terry,we will have to do lunch at the Rainforest one day if so.

Dennis.
