Went to Jersey Gardens...

The thunder and lights were synchronized - an
improvement compared to my visit to the
RAIN in Long Island.

I ordered a pizza which didn't meet my expectations.
It was made on a thin pita bread which was
chewy (like eating cardboard?) and not crispy.
Bar-B-Q sauce was used in place of tomato sauce.
It was different, but I wouldn't order it again...
I was expecting a Chicago pizza.

The burgers and ribs looked like a better choice -
the servings looked pretty big.

I didn't enjoy the margarita, it was a bit
thick - I prefer Chi-Chi's. I didn't enjoy
the alcohol drink at the Long Island RAIN
either. I'll try regular beer next time...

Service was OK, but the level of service has
room for improvement. A waitress dropped chips on
the floor... People had to wait a while for table service
while a couple of hostesses stood around without
doing much.

I sat on a chair with padding. It was the only
chair with padding at my table. I would imagine
that the chairs without the padding are somewhat
drafty and cold to sit on... not something I would
like to sit on to enjoy a good dinner. I won't get
a warm feeling coming out of the restaurant if my
seat was cold throughout the dinner.

There was the line and the long wait as usual.

I find it strange that the retail items were discounted
(on sale). I would have thought that RAIN could command
a higher price (as long as the quality was there too) for
the retail items.

With the Pokemon fad, I think there is an opportunity
to better personify some of the RAIN animal characters so
that kids can better relate and want to come back
to RAIN.
