I believe the quiet period refers to the period before analysis (usually the underwriters and syndicate) can initiate coverage of the issue. Judging from the number of CEOs that come on CNBC the day their company goes public. I don't know if the company is restricted from talking about itself after the IPO date. MHO Ron
